How can I join the club?
Send an email to info@westwoodcricket.org with your Name, Phone Number and any relevant background details ( profession, batting/bowling style, cricketing achievements etc). One of the Club executives will contact you soon.

I don't have a car?
No Problem. We have pick up and drop off for all games from UCLA ( Ackerman turnaround).

I don't have any cricket equipment?
No Problem. The club is well equipped with all Batting/Bowling/Fielding/Keeping kit. We suggest that you try to have your own personal protective gear like abdomen guard, batting gloves, inner gloves ( for wicket keepers ) etc.

Where can I buy cricket kit from?
Patel Brothers in Artesia ( 18636 S. Pioneer Blvd., Artesia, CA 90701| Phone: 562-402-2953 | E-mail: cricketgearca@aol.com ) carries Cricket Equipment. Ask for Ravi and tell them you are from Westwood Cricket. We have a discount arrangement with Patel Brothers for our players.

What should I wear?
White and White is preferred. For the league games White and White is compulsory. For our internal games and practice games we don't insist on the proper attire, but you will get more respect if you look like a real cricketer! You can get gear from the stores shown above. We also recommend one of the Westwood Cricket Caps ( You can buy them via the WAREHOUSE button on our home page).

How do you keep the players informed?
Once you join the club, you are added to the club mailing list and all communications are sent through that channel.

Who selects the Teams?
For all league games we have a selection committee that includes the Captain and the Vice Captain. The Captain and the Vice Captain for each year are selected at the beginning of the season by the senior members of the club.

Who runs the club?
We have an Executive Committee made up of the President, Secretary and the Treasurer. They are elected democratically at the end of each year (October) for a one year term. As of now, we don't have any term limits. The 3 Executives select a Captain and Vice Captain, appoint a Custodian for all our Cricket Properties and hand pick one or two players to manage all Statistics for the year. The three of them make all key decisions towards the running of the club with the President having the final say on all matters.

I am a Current County Cricketer who bowls around 90MPH, Aggressive Batsman who has scored several centuries and is an electric fielder. I am joining UCLA in the fall. Can I play with you guys?
Our Captain will cook for you and clean your house. Our V. Captain can mow your lawn and launder your clothes. When can you start? We will pick you up from your home.
